Degree Course : BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) as per curriculum prescribed by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, KARNATAKA. & NCH. New Delhi.

Duration of Course
Total 5½ year’s course which includes one year Compulsory Rotatory Internship.

Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) course must have completed 12th Standard (Science stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as compulsory subjects.

  • Minimum qualifying marks:
    • General Category: 50% aggregate in PCB (candidates from any state)
    • SC/ST/OBC (Karnataka State only): 40% aggregate in PCB
  • NEET requirement:
    • General Category: Minimum 50th percentile in NEET (any state)
    • SC/ST/OBC (Karnataka State only): Minimum 40th percentile in NEET

Admission to the BHMS course is conducted through centralized State Counselling Authorities (KEA) as per prevailing norms.

Course Fees and Payment Policy

The course fees for the BHMS program are determined in accordance with the decisions of the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka.

The college and hostel term fees for the first term will be notified at the time of admission. For subsequent terms, the applicable fee amount will be communicated at the end of each preceding term. Students are required to pay the notified fees within one week from the commencement of each term.

Fees once paid are non-refundable, except for the caution money, even if a student discontinues the course or vacates the hostel before completion of the term or the course. In the event of discontinuation, the student is liable to pay the full course fee for all terms of the 4½-year program, irrespective of the duration attended.

Assessment and Examination

Assessment is conducted in accordance with the competency-based curriculum prescribed by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH). Continuous internal assessment includes monthly tests, tutorials, seminars, terminal and preliminary examinations, all of which are compulsory for students.

Achievement of prescribed competencies, including practical and clinical skills, is systematically recorded and validated through the NCH-mandated logbook and forms an integral part of Internal Assessment. The Internal Assessment marks are forwarded to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, as per university norms.

At the end of each academic year, Annual Examinations in theory and practicals are conducted in compliance with RGUHS regulations and aligned with NCH competency-based learning outcomes
