Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to the M.D. (Hom) must have passed the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) degree from a college recognized by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), New Delhi. The degree awarded must be included in the Second Schedule of the Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.
Admission to the postgraduate programme shall be through the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIPGET), conducted by the designated authority(KEA), and counseling shall be carried out as per the prevailing guidelines of the Government of India, National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru.
Fees
The course fees for the MD (Homoeopathy) program are determined in accordance with the decisions of the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka.
The college and hostel term fees for the first term will be notified at the time of admission. For subsequent terms, the applicable fee amount will be communicated at the end of each preceding term. Students are required to pay the notified fees within one week from the commencement of each term.
Fees once paid are non-refundable, except for the caution money, even if a student discontinues the course or vacates the hostel before completion of the term or the course. In the event of discontinuation, the student is liable to pay the full course fee for all terms of the 3 year program, irrespective of the duration attended.
Assessment and Examination
Assessment is conducted in accordance with the competency-based postgraduate curriculum prescribed by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and the regulations of RGUHS, Bengaluru. Students are assessed periodically by the concerned guides through structured academic and clinical activities, including case presentations, journal clubs, seminars, and subject-specific assignments.
Progressive attainment of academic and clinical competencies is documented through continuous internal assessment. Annual examinations in theory and practicals are conducted at the end of the prescribed curriculum in accordance with the norms and regulations of RGUHS and NCH.
